Orange County is a great place to live if you love to shop. There are malls located in almost every major OC city, but they all have different feels to them. Here are our top picks for the best malls in the OC and why:
Irvine Spectrum has everything for everyone: shops, restaurants, a movie theater, an ice skating rink, a ferris wheel, a gym – you get the picture. You can make your trip to the Spectrum as casual (self-park and grab a sandwich at the Veggie Grill) or as ritzy (valet and head to Cucina Enoteca for date night) as you want.
South Coast Plaza is the most upscale mall on this list; it features stores anywhere from Armani to Forever 21. There is an Apple store here, so you can have your Mac fixed up at the Genius Bar while you grab a quick drink or bite to eat at one of the many delicious restaurants. South Coast Plaza is right across from the Segerstrom Center for the Performing Arts, so we recommend you head over there after you shop for a fun musical or theater performance.
Tustin Marketplace is extremely functional outdoor mall that features popular chains ranging anywhere from Target to Home Depot. There is a movie theater at the Market Place, so you can intersperse some fun in between your day of errands. The Market Place is conveniently located right off the 5.
Fashion Island is an upscale mall in Newport Beach that features mostly department stores such as Nordstrom and Neiman Marcus. Fashion Island is most well-known for its annual tree lighting ceremony every year in December – you don’t want to miss it!
The Outlets at Orange are a great place to bring the family for the day. The Outlets feature a VANS Skate Park, in which kids are allowed to skateboard and do tricks off the half pipe. If you don’t have skaters in your family, you’ll probably find entertainment throughout the different shops or by seeing a movie. Oh, and there’s a Krispy Kreme here too – score!
